Dentist

Dentist. I am petrified of going to the dentist.

This probably goes back to when I had train tracks on my teeth for a couple of years in my teens.

I'm not sure.

Anyway... I'm more scared of going to the dentist than I am of snakes, spiders, the dark, the bogey-man, the guy hiding behind the shower-curtain & mice. (Click HERE to see the terror when there's a mouse around)

For Reals.

It's hard to describe how scared I am, so I took some shots in my car while I was trying to talk myself into actually going inside the building.

HOW I have managed to birth THREE children is beyond me.

Go on .. you can say it.. Baby, Woosie, Wimp, Nerd - I'm ready for 'ya.

*stands with very scary face on and fists pumped*

What are YOU scared of?

pssst.... My face isn't usually this orange, it's a photo effect. Just clearing that up

  1. omg I feel your pain last year I had to have four wisdom teeth taken out awake. I couldn't afford to do it under and I had to have sedatives from the doctor otherwise I wouldn't go in. Thank goodness I haven't had to go back... I haven't even gone back for the teeth cleaning that was scary enough.
Hope it went well? I'm also terrified of spiders and cockroaches

  2. I know just how you feel except for me its the hairdressers! Used to have my hair done at home till the hairdresser had a baby. Luckily have found a fab hairdresser now but dread he may move away and I have to try and find somewhere else. Will just have to grow my hair then I think

  3. I used to be afraid of going to the dentist, but a couple of years ago I had crippling toothache and had to just GO and do it. It took two appointments to fix what almost six years of avoiding going had caused (a shameful seven fillings, and the loss of a tooth at the back) so I have learned to just get on with it otherwise it makes it worse lol. I had to go to the dental clinic to have the root removed of the one I lost, OMG I actually passed out in the little theatre thing because they wouldn't knock me out as I was still BFing at the time. Horrendous. But hasn't put me off!

As for things I am still scared of, er... That would be everything else. Ringing people, going to new places where I don't know anyone, walking in to crowded places to meet someone and not being able to see them... That sort of thing!

  5. It's pretty brave, actually. You did go through with it, right? Most people have a big fear of going, but there you are, going through with your dental appointment. That's facing your fears, and coming out healthier in the end.

  6. I too, hate going to the dentist but I have a wonderful dentist who makes my life (or his) easier. Since I have back problems, he makes sure I have the correct pillows, he gives me breaks, always asking when I need one, and he takes his time! I actual don't mind seeing him, because he is such a great guy, good sense of humour, and knows how much I hate his occupation!
